Want to paint convincing metal without ever opening a pot of metallic paint? Join artist Tom Sokolowski for a hands-on workshop where you'll learn the fundamentals of Non-Metallic Metal (NMM) using only flat acrylics.

In this intro course, you'll:

• Paint a metallic surface using nothing but flat colour

• Learn to place sharp highlights and deep shadows to sell the illusion

• Blend smooth transitions that make flat paint read as polished steel or gold

• Techniques you'll master can be applied to:

• Swords, axes, and blades

• Armour plates and pauldrons

• Helmets and visors

• Gold trim and ornamental details

Whether you're a tabletop gamer looking to make your army stand out or a display painter ready to push your technique, this class will give you the knowledge and confidence to create stunning metallic effects by hand, no metallics required.

• Required: Paint brushes

•Wet palettes, cups, and brush handles provided for all participants

• Paints provided: AK Anthracite Grey, AK Black, AK White

Tom will provide a miniature for everyone to paint. You're welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
