Want to make your miniatures glow with life—without an airbrush? Join artist Tom Sokolowski for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn the fundamentals of Object Source Lighting (OSL) using acrylic and fluorescent paints.
In this intro course, you’ll:
  • Paint a glowing plasma weapon
  • Learn to build contrast and place highlights
  • Blend soft light transitions to make your miniatures pop
Techniques you’ll master can be applied to:
  • Power weapons
  • Eye lenses
  • Glowing runes or glyphs
  • Flames and torches
Whether you’re a tabletop gamer looking to level up your army or a display painter chasing your next challenge, this class will give you the knowledge and confidence to create stunning lighting effects by hand.
Materials:
  • Required: Paint brushes.
  • Suggested paints: Fluor magenta, orange, yellow, acrylic white, deep red, wine red
  • Tom will provide a plasma cannon for everyone to paint. You’re welcome to bring your own miniature if you prefer.
